This is how we understand it at K-LAGAN with small environmental awareness actions such as our zero paper strategy or our Solidarity day that we do annually.
In our last edition, before the pandemic, more than 150 K-LAGAN workers met with the aim of raising awareness of the effects and consequences of pollution in the sea and oceans by the NGO Surfrider. We dedicated the day to cleaning plastic and different harmful waste from the Barceloneta beach in Barcelona and the Manzanares river in Madrid.
More than 6000 cigarette butts found on the beach in Barcelona and 3000 wet wipes collected from the Manzanares river are some of the most impressive data on waste collection during the two solidarity days. Facts that show that a change in habits is necessary.
